Numbers to Twenty
Kindergarten
Lesson 21 –
First week in February (2/2 – 2/8)
Objective –
Students will read, order, and identify numbers to twenty.
Materials –
1. Head phones
2. Youtube Sesame Street Video – “Herry and John Count to 20”, “Grover and John John Count”
3. Count and click on matching number - http://www.aaamath.com/k2g-count.html#section2
4. Counting up – when given a number students click on the next number when counting up. http://www.aaamath.com/k5b-countupn.html#section2
5. Counting down – when given a number students click on the one that comes before. http://www.aaamath.com/k5g-countdownn.html#section2
6. Number track – numbers 1-20 in a snake shape move missing number tiles to their correct place in the order. http://www.crickweb.co.uk/assets/resources/flash.php?&file=ntrack

Activities –
1. Youtube Sesame Street Video – “Herry and John Count to 20”, watch together
2. Using AAAMath students count icons and click on matching number
3. Using Counting Up activity students are given a number and click on the next number in sequence.
4. Watch Youtube Sesame Street video – “Grover and John John Count” together
5. Using the Counting Down activity students are given a number and click on the number that comes before it.
6. Students work their way through 3 levels of difficulty at their own pace, filling in the missing numbers from 1-20 in Number Track
Assessment –
Each activity keeps track of the students’ progress giving a percentage correct.
Differentiation –
1. All students will watch, listen, and read along with video reinforced with discussion.
2. Mouse over will read instructions to students during activity.
3. Students will move forward through activities are their own rate based on successes.


The Four Seasons
Grade One
Lesson 21 –

Students will show the difference between the seasons by placing appropriate pictures in groups.
Materials –
1. Head phones
2. Brainpopjr. – The Seasons movie and Winter game activity
3. Kidspiration – seasons activity

season.
